The 9th international conference on Auditory-Visual Speech Processing (AVSP) will be held from September 30 to October 3, 2010, following the INTERSPEECH2010 conference which is one of the largest conferences of speech processing.

Since auditory-visual speech production, perception and recognition by human and computer are interdisciplinary, AVSP conferences have attracted a lot of researchers in various fields, such as psychologists, computer engineers, scientists, linguists and phoneticians.

The AVSP2010 conference mainly focuses on the following topics, but not limited to:

  • Machine recognition of audio-visual speech
  • Human and machine models of multimodal integration

  • Cross-linguistic studies of audio-visual speech processing
  • Developmental studies of audio-visual speech processing
